On Monday, the prosecutor's office in Lithuania announced that the fire in an IKEA store, which occurred in 2024, was set intentionally.
"The data obtained during the investigation indicated that the fire was an act of arson," the prosecutor's office stated.
According to the investigation, the fire in the store broke out at night when no one was in the building. "At the time of the fire, the building's walls were made of non-combustible materials, which indicates the likely use of incendiary substances," the prosecutor's office added.
